Role Overview
- We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth and market expansion across Lagos Mainland and Island.
- You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and manage relationships with key clients and stakeholders to increase user adoption of company’sproducts and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, partnerships, and channels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants, agents, partners, and corporate clients.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Lead negotiations and close deals to expand the company’s market presence.
- Support product teams with feedback and market insights to improve offerings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations.
- Achieve and exceed set sales and business development targets.
- Provide regular reports on pipeline activity, market trends, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, compliance, and operations.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding business development targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Solid understanding of financial services, digital payments, and fintech products.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be available to work onsite across Lagos Mainland and Island.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with mobile money, agency banking, or digital wallets.
- Familiarity with the Nigerian financial services landscape and regulatory environment.
- Existing network of corporate partners, merchants, or agents.
