Job Summary
- We’re seeking a passionate, reliable, and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team and help us take our kitchen operations to the next level.
- As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain high food quality and consistency, manage kitchen staff, and ensure strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
- You’ll play a key role in menu development, food presentation, and staff mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing a high-quality and creative menu
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring team productivity and discipline
- Monitor inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation and waste control
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas in line with food safety regulations
- Step into the Head Chef’s role during their absence and lead the kitchen
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service
- Participate in food costing, portion control, and budgeting with management
- Introduce innovative cooking techniques, seasonal specials, and customer favorites
- Handle kitchen emergencies calmly and efficiently.

Requirements
- Culinary school diploma or relevant professional qualification is a plus.
- 5 – 8 years proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen sanitation practices
- Strong leadership, team management, and delegation skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, solve problems quickly, and handle feedback
- Flexible schedule, including availability for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
