Job Summary
- As a Communications officer at Pullus Africa, your primary responsibility will be to build and promote the company’s brand image, increase visibility and support business growth through strategic marketing and effective communication.
- You will play a vital role in planning and executing marketing campaigns, managing digital content and coordinating with internal teams to ensure consistency in messaging.
- You will also develop materials that support sales efforts and engage various stakeholders in the agricultural sector, particularly smallholder farmers, commercial poultry producers and related organizations.
Responsibilities
- Devise and execute comprehensive communication plans aligned with organisational goals.
- Create strategies to enhance the organisation’s public image and brand.
- Produce engaging and effective content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media,speeches and the organization’s website.
- Manage and update content on digital platforms to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, journalists and influencers.
- Gather customer and industry feedback to refine marketing messages and strategies.
- Handle media inquiries and arrange interviews, press conferences and other events.
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to ensure effective information flow within the organization.
- Create and distribute internal newsletters, memos and updates.
- Act as a spokesperson during times of crisis, providing accurate and timely.information to the media and the public.
- Coordinate and execute communication strategies for events, conferences and other organizational activities.
- Ensure effective promotion and coverage of events.
- Oversee and manage the organization’s social media accounts.
- Create engaging content and monitor social media trends.
- Work closely with marketing, HR, and other teams on communication initiatives.
- Creates timely reports for all communication campaigns.
- Prepare and manage the organization’s budget regarding communication.
- Conduct surveys or contact people of the target audience to understand their views.
- Ensure that all marketing and communications material align with the brand’s standards.
- Maintain digital media archives (photos, videos).
- Assist Customer Service when necessary.
- Any other duty assigned by the Organisation.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related role—preferably within the agricultural or agri-tech industry.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms and content management systems.
- Graphic design or multimedia skills are an added advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the poultry industry or agricultural sector is a plus.
- Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual abilities are an added advantage.
- Resides in Kaduna.
