Job Summary
- We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across our construction sites.
- This role is responsible for conducting risk assessments, enforcing safety policies, and fostering a safety-first culture among staff and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily toolbox talks and site safety inductions.
- Conduct risk assessments and proactively identify hazards.
- Enforce compliance with safety regulations and ensure proper PPE usage.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident logs, and audit documentation.
- Train workers and subcontractors on site-specific safety procedures.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and readiness plans.
- Provide regular HSE compliance reports to management.

Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Safety Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2 – 4 years of hands-on HSE experience in construction or similar environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON) are highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations and construction safety practices.
- Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills.
