They are currently in Phase 1: building our MVP, assembling a strong core team, and laying the foundation for a world-class digital presence.

About the Role

  • We’re seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resource Manager to lead our recruitment, HR operations, and organizational culture efforts as we grow.
  • This is a full-time, long-term position with room to grow into a senior leadership role.

You’ll work directly with the founder and leadership team to:

  • Manage end-to-end hiring processes: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
  • Build and manage a structured, transparent, and scalable recruitment funnel
  • Maintain compliance with Nigerian labor laws and global HR best practices
  • Draft, update, and enforce HR policies, employment contracts, and company handbook
  • Advise leadership on workforce planning and talent development
  • Foster a high-performing, mission-driven company culture
  • Keep HR records, reports, and documentation accurate and confidential
  • Support performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
  • Minimum 4 – 5 years of HR experience, preferably in startups or high-growth environments
  • Professional certification such as CIPM (Nigeria), SHRM, or HRCI is required
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian labor law, HR compliance, and employee relations
  • Proven experience designing and managing recruitment pipelines
  • Familiarity with remote/hybrid work environments and international hiring is a plus
  • Tech-savvy and able to work with modern HR and ATS tools.

You Are:

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and methodical in your work
  • A proactive problem-solver and strategic thinker
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about African development and the diaspora’s role in it
  • Excited to build systems, teams, and culture from the ground up.

You’ll Thrive Here If…

  • You enjoy autonomy and taking initiative in a fast-paced environment
  • You believe HR is both strategic and human-centered
  • You care deeply about impact, not just processes
  • You want to be part of a founding team shaping a mission-driven company from day one.

Salary
