Work Description
- The English Proficiency Consultant supports students and migration applicants in achieving the required English language standards for university admission, professional registration, or visa applications.
- The role involves assessing clients’ language levels, delivering tailored training, advising on suitable proficiency tests (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, OET), and providing strategies to maximize success.
- The consultant works closely with education and migration advisors to ensure clients meet all requirements for their chosen pathways.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments to determine clients’ English language level.
- Advise on the appropriate English proficiency test for study, work, or migration purposes.
- Design and deliver customized training sessions (individual and group).
- Provide test preparation support, including practice exams and performance feedback.
- Track and report on client progress to management and other departments.
- Guide clients on language requirements for universities, colleges, and migration visas.
- Stay updated on changes to English proficiency exams and migration/education requirements.
- Maintain accurate student/client records in line with company policies.
- Collaborate with counselors and migration consultants to align language support with overall plans.

Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a related field.
- Previous experience in IELTS/PTE/TOEFL/OET training or English language consulting is an advantage.
- Familiarity with international education and migration systems preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of English proficiency exams (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, OET).
- Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
- Ability to create tailored study plans based on individual needs.
- Strong interpersonal and motivational abilities to support diverse clients.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in evaluating client performance.
- Team collaboration while maintaining independent initiative.
Salary
N3,600,000 / Annum.
