About the Role
The Assistant, HR / IR Manager will support the HR Business Partner (HRBP) in delivering the HR agenda across the Mfamosing Plant. This includes employee relations, recruitment, performance management, HR systems administration, and compliance. The role ensures the alignment of HR activities with organizational goals while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of the annual HR strategy in line with business needs.

Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of non-cadre staff.

Maintain accurate and legally compliant personnel records and contracts.

Support HR systems and policy development to ensure best practices.

Provide HR data analysis and reporting for both routine and ad-hoc requirements.

Coach and support supervisors on performance management and employee engagement.

Partner with the Head of HR Industrial/IR and Plant HRBP to manage employee and industrial relations.

Liaise with statutory bodies and trade associations as required.

Monitor workplace climate and provide feedback to the Plant HRBP and Head of HR Industrial/IR.

Support in resolving industrial relations issues and salary negotiations.

Manage HR-related projects as assigned by the Plant HRBP.

Collaborate with other HR and organizational development roles to drive people performance.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably Social Sciences).

2–3 years’ HR Business Partner or generalist experience in an industrial setting.

Professional certification (e.g., CIPD) is an added advantage.

Strong influencing, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

Project management capability with flexibility to adapt to change.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize effectively.
