Responsibilities

Develop building designs and detailed drawings by hand and with CAD software.

Liaise with construction professionals to assess project feasibility.
-
Ensure designs comply with planning regulations, environmental impact considerations, and budget constraints.

Collaborate with site engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors, and technologists.
-
Prepare and present reports, proposals, applications, and contracts.
-
Specify requirements for assigned projects and adapt plans as needed.

Support project and team management tasks.

Resolve challenges that arise during construction.
Qualifications
-
BSc/HND in Architecture (Design and Drafting).
-
Minimum of 4 years’ post-graduation experience as a junior/trainee architect.
-
Industrial attachment and NYSC experience in an architectural role.
Project Experience Required
-
Assisted a Senior Architect on at least 3 design briefs per year.
-
Drafted construction drawings and prepared professional presentations.
Technical Competencies
-
Strong knowledge of design compliance and architectural standards (e.g., NEUFERT).

Proficiency in design software: AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
-
3D modeling, mood board creation, and research skills.
-
Strong visual awareness, detail orientation, and creativity.
-
Understanding of civil and MEP integration in architectural designs.
-
Knowledge of urban planning by-laws and approval processes.
-
Skilled in site surveys and preparation of approval drawings.
-
Competence in producing quality sets of drawings with speed and efficiency.

Ability to follow senior architect instructions.
