Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and provide strategic insights that guide executive decision-making. This role is critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, strong internal controls, and effective financial planning, while supporting business growth initiatives in Abuja.

Key Responsibilities

Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
Ensure strict compliance with IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, and relevant financial regulations.
Drive internal control initiatives and implement effective risk management strategies.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance and accounting staff to foster a high-performance culture.
Provide strategic financial insights and business recommendations to senior management for investments and growth.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MSc is an added advantage).
Professional Certification: ICAN required; ACCA or other relevant certifications preferred.
Minimum of 7 years progressive finance/accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and Nigerian tax regulations.
Proficiency in financial software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
