  • Reporting directly to the CEO, the Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s finances across our interior architecture projects, retail shop, and small-scale manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models for projects, retail operations, and manufacturing activities. Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Accounting and Reporting: Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP or relevant standards.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and optimize cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for ongoing projects, inventory purchases, and operational needs. Manage banking relationships and investment strategies as appropriate.
  • Cost Control and Efficiency: Track costs associated with interior architecture projects, retail sales, and furniture production. Implement cost-saving measures, negotiate with suppliers, and evaluate pricing strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards. Conduct internal audits, manage insurance policies, and mitigate financial risks.
  • Project Financial Oversight: Collaborate with project managers on budgeting for interior architecture contracts, tracking project expenses, and ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise a small finance team (if applicable), providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing department.
  • Strategic Support: Assist in business development by evaluating financial implications of new projects, expansions, or partnerships. Contribute to overall company strategy with financial expertise.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with non-finance teams such as designers, project managers, and retail staff.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance, and risk management.
  • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
  • Commitment to ethical financial practices and confidentiality.
