Role Summary
- The Human Resource Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring effective implementation of HR policies, and providing guidance on people management practices.
- The role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and compliance while supporting the organization’s overall strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process.
- Oversee employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Partner with managers to forecast staffing needs.
Performance & Development:
- Implement and monitor performance management systems.
- Identify training needs and coordinate staff learning and development programs.
- Support career growth and succession planning initiatives.
Employee Relations:
- Promote a positive work environment and strong employee engagement.
- Handle grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in line with policy.
- Act as a trusted advisor on HR issues for both staff and management.
HR Policy & Compliance:
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with Nigerian labour laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Keep HR records and documentation accurate and up to date.
HR Operations & Reporting:
- Manage HR databases, payroll support, and HRIS systems.
- Generate HR reports and metrics to inform management decisions.
- Support organizational projects such as change management and employee engagement surveys.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10-15years of relevant HR experience in a structured organization.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIHRSM, CIPD) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR software/HRIS systems is an advantage.
