Job Summary
- The Shelf Attendant is responsible for ensuring shelves are well-stocked, neatly arranged, and visually appealing at all times.
- The role requires maintaining accurate product displays, monitoring stock levels, and supporting smooth store operations to enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange, restock, and label products on shelves according to company display standards.
- Ensure shelves, aisles, and product areas are clean, tidy, and free of obstructions.
- Check and report low or out-of-stock items to the Supervisor for replenishment.
- Verify product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items promptly.
- Assist customers in locating products when required.
- Support inventory counts and stock-taking activities.
- Maintain compliance with safety and hygiene policies within the store.
- Cooperate with the cashier and other floor staff to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Supervisor or Branch Manager.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification with at least 1 year of experience in a retail or supermarket environment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and neatly dressed.
