Job Summary

  • The Shelf Attendant is responsible for ensuring shelves are well-stocked, neatly arranged, and visually appealing at all times.
  • The role requires maintaining accurate product displays, monitoring stock levels, and supporting smooth store operations to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange, restock, and label products on shelves according to company display standards.
  • Ensure shelves, aisles, and product areas are clean, tidy, and free of obstructions.
  • Check and report low or out-of-stock items to the Supervisor for replenishment.
  • Verify product expiry dates and remove expired or damaged items promptly.
  • Assist customers in locating products when required.
  • Support inventory counts and stock-taking activities.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and hygiene policies within the store.
  • Cooperate with the cashier and other floor staff to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Supervisor or Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND qualification with at least 1 year of experience in a retail or supermarket environment (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be punctual, responsible, and neatly dressed.
