Online Tutor – STEM and Robotics at Sophora Consult

Sophora Consult is a consulting and training company with operations in Canada and Nigeria. Through our STEMum initiative, we empower children and teens to develop coding, robotics, and STEM skills that build confidence and creativity. We are expanding our team of passionate educators who are committed to shaping the next generation of innovators.

Role Summary

• We are seeking energetic, creative, and tech-savvy tutors to teach STEM and Robotics to learners aged 8–17. Ideal candidates are passionate about digital education, able to simplify technical concepts, and committed to fostering a fun and engaging online learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive, high-quality lessons in Scratch, HTML,CSS, and Python.
• Introduce students to the fundamentals of robotics and STEM problem-solving.
• Create engaging lesson materials, games, and projects to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Foster creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking among learners.
• Maintain consistent communication with the program coordinator.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience teaching or tutoring children in STEM or coding (online or in-person) is an Asset.
• Proficiency in Scratch, HTML/CSS, and Python.
• Strong communication, patience, and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
• Reliable internet connection and ability to teach via Zoom or LMS platforms.

Compensation & Schedule

• Part-time: N4,500 per hour (2–8 hours per week)
• Full-time: N200,000 per month (5 days per week)
• Flexible schedule with opportunities for weekday or weekend classes.
