We are a Software Development firm in Nigeria, currently embarking on a digital transformation program for a leading public sector organization in Nigeria. The initiative involves the design and implementation of multiple enterprise management platforms to modernize critical operations and improve efficiency, accountability, and compliance.
Description
- We seek an experienced Project Manager to coordinate delivery across multiple teams and ensure project outcomes are achieved within the strict six-month timeframe.
- The role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management skills, and hands-on experience delivering complex software projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day project management across all streams (discovery, design, development, testing, deployment).
- Develop and maintain the project plan, timelines, and risk register.
- Ensure TOR deliverables (Inception Report, Draft Report, Final Report) are prepared and submitted on time.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives).
- Liaise with Client’s Steering Committee and ICT/DTIU department for decision-making and escalations.
- Track resource utilization, budget alignment, and milestone delivery.
- Prepare and deliver weekly status updates and monthly Steering Committee reports.
- Support change management and ensure adoption through workshops and communication.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 8 – 10 years in IT project management, with experience leading enterprise-level or public sector software projects.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile/Scrum certifications desirable.
Skills:
- Strong grasp of agile/hybrid delivery models.
- Ability to manage multiple teams and parallel workstreams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or equivalents).
Soft Skills:
- Diplomatic, with strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
- Skilled at risk identification and mitigation.
- Able to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Availability:
- Must be available full-time, with on-site presence in Abuja for the first 2 months (discovery phase), and hybrid arrangement thereafter.
