Role Overview

  • The Supply Chain Manager will oversee the design, coordination, and optimization of all supply chain activities — including inventory, procurement, logistics, and ERP-based data management — across hospital pharmacies managed under our VMI network.
  • This position requires a pharmaceutical supply chain professional with a strong analytical mind, leadership acumen, and a spirit of excellence.
  • The ideal candidate will ensure consistent stock availability, cost efficiency, and operational precision using technology-driven systems and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Demand Planning:

  • Manage end-to-end inventory flow from procurement to hospital-level distribution.
  • Establish demand forecasting, consumption analysis, and stock optimization systems.
  • Maintain real-time visibility and accuracy across central and hospital site inventories.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and internal SOPs.

Procurement & Sourcing:

  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier management to secure reliable, cost-effective supply lines.
  • Drive vendor performance tracking, contract negotiations, and compliance monitoring.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies while maintaining quality and regulatory standards.

Warehouse & Logistics:

  • Oversee central and satellite warehouse operations ensuring accurate documentation and stock control.
  • Coordinate logistics and last-mile delivery to hospital pharmacies, optimizing lead times.
  • Implement process improvements to minimize expiries, theft, and stock discrepancies.

ERP & Data Infrastructure (Zoho):

  • Utilize Zoho ERP to design digital tools for inventory analytics, reorder automation, and KPI dashboards.
  • Generate performance insights to support leadership decision-making.
  • Build scalable systems that enable data accuracy and efficiency across all sites.

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team across procurement, warehouse, and logistics.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team adherence to SOPs, KPIs, and company values.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Fulfillment Rate & Lead Time Compliance
  • Inventory Accuracy & Loss Reduction (expiry, theft, variance)
  • Procurement Cost Savings & Supplier Performance
  • Warehouse Efficiency & ERP Data Accuracy

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Pharmacist (preferred); non-pharmacists must have minimum 5 years’ experience in pharma supply chain leadership.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing hospital pharmacy or VMI operations.
  • Proven expertise in inventory management, demand planning, procurement, and logistics.
  • Proficiency in Zoho ERP or other enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics).
  • Recognized certifications: CIPS, APICS, SCPro, ISM, or equivalent.
