Role Overview

• We are looking for a Trend Forecaster who can capture the pulse of global and African fashion — someone who can transform research, culture, and creativity into future design directions that inspire our collections.
• As a Trend Forecaster, you will research and predict upcoming fashion trends, colours, fabrics, and cultural movements that will shape the next wave of African and global fashion.
• You will collaborate with the creative and design teams to ensure Zeera Culture remains at the forefront of style innovation and cultural storytelling.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze global fashion trends, consumer behaviours, and emerging cultural influences.
• Identify future colour palettes, fabrics, patterns, and silhouettes relevant to African fashion.
• Study Nigerian and African textile traditions to reimagine them through a modern lens.
• Prepare seasonal trend reports, mood boards, and presentations for the creative team.
• Collaborate with designers to translate forecasts into commercially viable and artistic collections.
• Monitor runway shows, trade fairs, fashion weeks, and social media for real-time insights.
• Track market data and competitor analysis to guide brand strategy and product direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Fashion Marketing, or related fields.
• Strong background in trend research, fashion analysis, or cultural forecasting.
• Excellent sense of colour, fabric, and style trends.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, data visualization, and trend forecasting tools.
• Strong written and visual communication skills.
• Deep appreciation for African fashion, textiles, and cultural heritage.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with fashion forecasting agencies or fashion brands.
• Understanding of sustainable fashion trends and eco-conscious consumer movements.
• Ability to link global fashion directions to African cultural identity and textile innovation.
