Position Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team.
  • The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing HR strategies that align with Aquila Leasing’s growth objectives.
  • This role requires a proactive leader with strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of HR best practices, and the ability to foster a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that support the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training and development, payroll, and employee relations.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives that promote motivation, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide guidance and support to management on HR-related issues, organizational development, and succession planning.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and oversee HR metrics and reporting for decision-making.
  • Lead performance management cycles and employee appraisal processes.
  • Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and workforce planning priorities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (CIPM, SHRM) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead HR initiatives that drive performance and employee satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
