About the job

The opportunity:

If you want to build a serious career with a professional channel, then let’s talk.

I’ve been working in business for over eight years, with a background in consulting, sales, marketing, HR, and operations.

I’m now launching a new project alongside partners who have built 8 successful YouTube channels with a combined audience of over 1.1 million subscribers and more than 520 million views. With my experience in building successful businesses and their proven expertise on YouTube, I’m confident in the results this channel will achieve.

The channel:

Our new channel is called Donny Else. It consists of video essays analyzing and criticizing the behavior of TV/movie characters (their mistakes, choices, relationships, etc).

My unique edge, is I’ve watched thousands of hours of TV and movies and I find human behavior fascinating, having studied the human mind and psychology. The unique angle we’re going to take is a cynical and humorous critique of the behavior of the TV/movie characters.

The market for views is massive due to the baked-in audiences of these shows/movies, but also includes people who have never seen the show or movie, because the subject matter consists of things that 100% of people can relate to.

Example of style of video I’m looking for:

Are you the right fit…

We’re not looking for an average, run-of-the-mill editor who’s just in it for the money. We want someone who shares our passion for authentic, high-quality content. Someone creative, with a strong drive to improve, and motivated by the idea of making standout videos. Someone who wants to be part of a winning team and is committed to building something long-term.

Bonus points if you love shows like Friends, Suits, Mad Men, and if you have a sharp sense of humor and high social IQ.

Requirement:

Full Time: 35+ hrs a week. I need someone to work on my channel full-time consistently every day (not be working on other projects / channels / school / job)

Minimum 1 video per week, typically between 10-20 minutes

Compensation:

The pay will be per finished minute of video, so the more efficient you are, the more you’ll make.

It would be anywhere from $8 to $20 per finished minute depending on your level of speed and quality. We would start at an agreed trial rate for the first 1 or 2 videos and then as I see the quality, would move you up!

Big opportunities ahead…

Our goal is to reach 100K subscribers within the first year. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the channel; someone ambitious, collaborative, and ready to take on more responsibility as we scale.

If you’re driven, take ownership of your work, and see yourself thriving in a long-term role, there will be clear paths to progression, including the potential to move into roles like channel manager, depending on your interests and performance.

If this sounds like you, and you’re excited by everything I’ve shared, make sure to apply. I personally review every application and will get back to you.
