Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the oil and gas sector.
  • The role focuses on expanding the company’s market presence, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, tenders, and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Market Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within upstream, midstream, and downstream oil & gas operations.
  • Conduct market research to track industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company objectives.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with oil & gas operators, EPCI contractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients.
  • Understand client needs and propose tailored service solutions.

Tendering & Proposal Management:

  • Source, review, and coordinate response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Invitations to Tender (ITTs), and RFQs.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation, pricing, and technical inputs with internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and company policies.

Sales & Revenue Generation:

  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, and performance reports.

Strategic Partnerships & Networking:

  • Identify and develop strategic alliances and joint venture opportunities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Strengthen the company’s brand and market reputation within the oil & gas industry.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–7 years’ experience in business development or sales within the oil & gas servicing industry.
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas operations, procurement processes, and industry regulations.
  • Proven track record of winning contracts and growing client portfolios.
  • Required Skills & Competencies
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and market research abilities.
  • Ability to develop compelling business proposals and commercial strategies.
  • High proficiency in presenting technical solutions and market insights to C-suite stakeholders.
