About Food Concepts Plc

Food Concepts Plc was founded on the 6th of December 1999, initially known as Food Concepts & Entertainment Limited, and commenced its operations in 2000. In a Special Resolution dated 10 May 2009, the company underwent a transformation from a Private Limited Liability Company to a Public Limited Liability Company, along with a name change to Food Concepts Plc.

Upon its inception, Food Concepts secured valuable franchises from renowned South African Quick Service Restaurant operators, granting them the responsibility to manage and operate these brands within Nigeria. Over time, the company expanded its portfolio by acquiring the Butterfield brand and by custom developing and nurturing new brands, including Chicken Republic, PieXpress, Yum Yum, and The Chop Box.

In a subsequent corporate restructuring and divestment, Food Concepts now exclusively owns and manages the Chicken Republic, PieXpress and The Chop Box brands as proprietary food brands.

Job Purpose

Daily updating of bin cards, gathering data, and capturing information timely and accurate manner from various sources into databases. This also includes extracting information from business units and storing hard copies.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gathering suppliers’ invoices/waybills, and GTN for all Pie Production Units, Central kitchen & Chicken Republic stores, respectively.
  • Type in data provided directly from customers.
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
  • Verify data by comparing it to the source document i.e., Bin cards/Excel.
  • Update existing data i.e., Bin cards/Excel.
  • Identify errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary.
  • Correcting errors and organizing the information in a manner that will optimize swift and accurate capturing.
  • Retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested.
  • Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered.
  • Storing hard copies of data in an organized manner to optimize retrieval.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge Requirements

  • High proficiency in data entry techniques.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  • Strong analytical and data-gathering skills.

Educational Requirements

  • BA, BS or B.Com degree required (Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics)

Experience Requirements

  • 0-3+ years of warehouse or other relevant experience.

  • Manage data in compliance with the company’s policies and vision
  • Maintain  standard of health, safety, and hygiene

 

Working Conditions

Jobholder typically work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, although some roles may involve weekend or evening work. This role is both office and field(warehouse) based and has some occasional physical demands such as lifting stock items that weigh over 10kg if the need arises and walking around the warehouse to ensure the effective monitoring
