Job Description
- A School on the island is recruiting for a Female Houseparent. An ideal candidate should maintain a positive attitude, be energetic about their role, and share a passion for learning themselves.
- The school is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us.
- This post is subject to a range of vetting checks. Shortlisted candidates would be expected to attend a panel interview session either on site or virtual.
- The shortlisted candidate would then undergo background and reference checks, medical tests before being given a formal letter of employment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee students; welfare, safety, and adherence to school rules.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students.
- Supervise daily routines (wake-up, meals, study, bedtime) and maintain discipline.
- Communicate with parents and staff about students well-being.
- Organize activities and maintain a clean, well-kept boarding house.
- Follow safeguarding policies and attend necessary training
Requirements
- Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience in a boarding school or similar environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- First aid certification and knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Willing to live on-site and be available during evenings and weekends.
Salary
- N500,000 – N750,000 / month.(competitive and commensurate with skills and experience).
