We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Oregun, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Review prices and product specifications from various suppliers to determine which would provide the best deal.
- Manage cost savings for 80:20 raw and packaging materials.
- Review& evaluate Price Comparative Analysis for authorization and approval before creating Purchase Order on Orion.
- Review requests from all departments to ensure all specifications are captured and process them on Orion for PO processes.
- Monitoring the creating and maintaining purchasing files and price lists.
- Monitor opening of Form M for import items.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Negotiation and renegotiation of price, delivery schedule and terms and conditions.
- Monitor import material tracker for the purpose of GIT.
- Answer supplier and customer inquiries about order changes or cancellations and check requisition orders for accuracy.
- Check shipments to ensure the appropriate items were delivered.
- Check and evaluate shipping documents to ensure all parameters are correct on shipping document.
- Seek alternative local sources for imported raw materials if it promotes cost reduction.
- Monitor Vendor Mapping to ensure best vendors are awarded to appropriate job
Skills & Educational Requirement
- At least 5 years post-qualification experience in the FMCG sector is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, with a focus on data analysis and process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and procurement & supply chain management software.
- Experience with analytics, predictive modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing procurement and supply chain optimization projects.
- Certification in relevant field or data analytics (e.g., CAP, aPHR).
- Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and advanced supply chain technologies.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in the field.
