Job Summary:
- The Expatriate & Immigration Affairs Executive is responsible for managing all immigration processes and expatriate relations within the organization.
- This role ensures compliance with local immigration laws, facilitates smooth onboarding for expatriates, and serves as a liaison between the company, expatriates, and government agencies.
- The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of immigration policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive documentation efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee immigration processes, including work permits, residence permits, visa applications, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant immigration laws and regulations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the organization and government immigration offices (e.g., Nigerian Immigration Service, embassies, and relevant agencies).
- Coordinate the onboarding and relocation process for expatriate employees, including accommodation, cultural integration, and local registrations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all expatriate employees, including visa expirations and renewal schedules.
- Provide guidance and support to expatriates on legal and compliance matters related to their stay.
- Assist in resolving any expatriate-related immigration issues or disputes.
- Work closely with HR, Legal, and Admin teams to ensure a seamless experience for expatriate staff.
- Stay updated on changes in immigration laws and advise the organization accordingly.
- Support in drafting and submitting immigration-related documentation and correspondence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, International Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in immigration services, expatriate management, or a related HR/Admin role.
- Strong understanding of immigration laws, visa processing, and expatriate management.
- Experience liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse cultures.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
