Key Responsibilities

  • Creating compelling media, marketing, and fundraising content.
  • Supporting storytelling projects that highlight African changemakers.
  • Managing Ashoka Africa’s social media channels, including content scheduling, engagement, and analytics.
  • Drafting newsletters, media alerts, and press releases.
  • Designing marketing assets such as flyers, graphics, and digital content.
  • Updating and maintaining Ashoka’s website and content platforms.
  • Assisting in organizing and promoting events, both online and in person.
  • Contributing new ideas to expand Ashoka’s reach and visibility in Africa.

What We are Looking For

  • We are looking for an energetic, passionate communicator who is eager to use storytelling to drive social impact. The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Strong grasp of branding, digital trends, and content marketing.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and social media tools.
  • Basic skills in photo/video shooting and editing.
  • A collaborative spirit with the ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects.
