Job Description
- We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria.
- As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings throughout the Lagos area.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in various buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings to ensure proper installation
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate project activities
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining electrical issues and solutions to clients
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress
- Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in the electrical field
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an electrician
- Valid electrical certification or license recognized in Nigeria
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems installation, maintenance, and repair
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various positions
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to different job sites within Lagos
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends when required
- Knowledge of local electrical standards and practices in Nigeria (preferred).
