Role Scope and Expectations
Accounts / Finance:
- Ensure compliance with Procurement process.
- Processing and booking ALL AP Invoices (intercompany & 3rd party).
- Ensure WHT Schedule is updated and monthly remittance on or before payment due date.
- Ensure all advances are retired and booked accordingly.
- Advise Treasury Team on the periodic Payment Runs
- Ensure compliance with AP procedure
- Ensure compliance with company payment term.
- Ensure up-to-date documentation of all current and historical documents as regards Accounts Payable
- Ensure timely delivery of relevant Accounts Payable Monthly Closing Reports
- Ensure Accounts Payable is reconciled monthly.
- Ensure appropriate support for all audits on account payable correspondences and documentation.
QHSE:
- You are responsible for complying with the requirements of the QHSE management system
- You are to apply and respect safety, health and environment requirements in daily activities;
- Use required personal protective equipment as instructed;
- Watch for potentially hazardous working conditions or work practices and report them to his or her supervisor(s) as soon as possible.
Other:
- Any other duty assigned by the Country CFO
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accounting / Accountancy
- Minimum of 1 year experience in accounts payable role
Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of IFRS is added advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Good command of IT tools and accounting software
- Strong communication skill
- Utmost discretion
- Sense of responsibility, good job and information sharing
- Proactiveness, innovation, respect of the best practices and safety rules
- Compliance with the code of ethics, sense of confidentiality, independence, impartiality and integrity
