Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Assistant Team Lead – Power Plant Mechanical Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of gas-fired power plants.
- The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with MWM CG170 and CAT G3520 generator sets and the ability to support team leadership and plant reliability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising the operation and maintenance of MWM CG170 and CAT G3520 gas engines.
- Carry out routine, preventive, and corrective mechanical maintenance activities.
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical faults on engines, auxiliaries, and balance of plant.
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and maintenance procedures.
- Assist in coordinating technicians and contractors during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years experience in power plant mechanical operations and maintenance.
- Proven hands-on experience with MWM CG170 and CAT G3520 engines.
- Strong knowledge of gas engine mechanical systems, auxiliaries, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and manuals.
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
