Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate, Audit & Risk Management to strengthen our risk and compliance functions. This role will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of robust risk management frameworks, ensuring Babban Gona operates within acceptable risk levels while achieving its strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities

Support the design and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.

Conduct risk assessments (operational, financial, legal, and strategic), and recommend mitigation measures.

Collaborate with teams to establish risk registers, appetite statements, and key risk indicators (KRIs).

Monitor and analyze KRIs, providing timely risk trend reports and recommending corrective actions.

Assist in developing and executing risk mitigation plans and monitoring KPIs.

Conduct internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to policies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Deliver risk management training and awareness programs to strengthen organizational risk culture.

Liaise with external stakeholders (insurance providers, regulators) to manage coverage and compliance.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging risks, recommending continuous improvements.

Investigate incidents/near misses, identify root causes, and recommend preventive measures.

Lead or support risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Risk Manager, CRMA, CIA) are an advantage.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in audit or risk management, preferably in agriculture, agritech, or technology sectors.

Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, audit methodologies, and compliance standards.

Proven experience in risk assessments, registers, and mitigation strategies.

Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Proficiency in risk management tools and software.
