About the Role
- The Bodywork specialist will perform repairs, replacements, and other alterations to the exteriors of motor vehicles.
- You will be responsible for determining damage in all classes of motor vehicles. Your skills include installing, setting up, and converting bodies and body components, as well as repairs, care, and protection thereof.
Duties
Diagnosis work:
- Performing systematic and professional damage diagnoses on accident vehicles and supporting in determining the repair costs.
- Performing structured diagnoses of body noise complaints.
- Performing simple electrical diagnoses by reading out the fault memory via DAS.
- Localizing existing body leaks and determining their cause.
- Determining the scope of required replacement parts and arranging an order in cooperation with the Team
Perform Repair Work:
- Performing comprehensive straightening, separation, and joining operations according to specified methods.
- Checking/performing adjustments in line with the performed diagnoses.
- Performing adjustment and repair operations on seats and interior components.
- Evaluating the extent of vehicle body damage and determining the best repair method.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with customers to keep them informed of progress and any changes in the repair plan.
- Keep records of all work performed and parts used.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree or HND in Industrial maintenance or any related field.
- Must have 2-5 years working experience as a Bodywork Specialist in the automobile industry
- Series of training courses to become a Bodywork Specialist through basic and further qualificatio
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the automotive industry and market trends.
- Analytical, problem solving and technical skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
