Description
- We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and results-driven Business Development Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience working within the power or oil and gas industry and a solid understanding of its operations, dynamics, and value chain.
- This role requires someone who can think strategically, analyze data effectively, and communicate insights clearly to support business growth and expansion efforts.
- You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of strategic initiatives, and support the execution of key business activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth market and industry research focused on the power or oil and gas sector to provide insights that support strategic planning and business development efforts.
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, potential clients, partnerships, and market trends that align with the company’s growth objectives.
- Support the development of proposals, pitch decks, business cases, and tender submissions by working closely with internal teams and ensuring content is accurate and compelling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments such as engineering, finance, procurement, and legal to gather data, align strategies, and ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Provide analytical support for ongoing and new projects, including feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and financial modeling.
- Track and monitor project milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators to ensure objectives are met and resources are optimally utilized.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal leadership and external stakeholders, translating data and findings into actionable insights.
- Participate in stakeholder and client meetings, providing research support, preparing briefing materials, and documenting outcomes and action points.
- Maintain organized records of business development activities, including opportunities pursued, client communications, and project documentation.
- Communicate findings and ideas effectively through both written reports and verbal presentations, ensuring clarity and professionalism at all times.

Requirements And Qualifications
- Must have a First-Class or Second Class Bachelor’s degree/ HND from a reputable university/ Polytechnic in Nigeria or abroad.
- Must have graduated from a recognized and reputable University or Polytechnic either within or outside Nigeria.
- A Master’s degree or PhD is a strong advantage.
- Must have worked in the power or oil and gas sector, with practical exposure to the industry’s operations, challenges, and business environment.
- Must be able to work effectively within cross-functional teams and adapt across technical, analytical, and business-related tasks.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare professional documentation and deliver clear, persuasive presentations.
- Must demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of managing tasks independently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be highly organized with a strong ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
