Role Overview

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s loan portfolio.
  • This role requires a results-oriented professional with strong market knowledge and the ability to execute growth strategies in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and execute business growth opportunities to increase loan disbursements and revenue.
  • Build and manage relationships with clients, agents, aggregators, and strategic partners.
  • Develop and implement sales and market expansion strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Work closely with credit and operations teams to ensure quality loan origination and portfolio performance.
  • Track, analyze, and report business development performance metrics to management.
  • Support product development by providing market feedback and customer insights.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines during business acquisition.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in business development, sales, or relationship management, preferably within micro-finance, fintech, or financial services.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue or portfolio growth targets.
  • Strong understanding of micro-lending products, customer acquisition, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Salary
N400,000 – N450,000 monthly.
