Arco Marine and Oilfield Services Limited (AMOSL) is a Nigerian owned and managed company that specializes in the provision of Marine logistics services to leading oil and gas firms.
Job Summary:
- We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chief Engineer to manage and maintain the mechanical and electrical systems of our vessel.
- The role involves overseeing engine performance, conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and maritime regulations.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, relevant certifications, and excellent problem-solving skills.
Requirements (Education/Training/Experience):
- Minimum, High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate of Competency (CoC) from NIMASA – STCW REG III/1
- STCW 2010, Basic Security Awareness, Engine Room Resource Mgt, Advanced Medical and Seafarer’s Medical
- Advanced Firefighting, Proficiency in Boat life, GMDSS and ISPS Code.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in similar role, working on a vessel.
- Knowledge of Man Diesel, Caterpillar, Cummins and other marine engines.
Core Competencies:
- Mastery of marine engineering systems including propulsion, electrical and auxiliary systems.
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Attention to details
- Ability to use computer (MS Office) and software’s for routine reporting.
