We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management & Digitization:

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations to ensure smooth workflows, optimal resource utilization, and timely execution of tasks.
  • Lead the assessment and implementation of digital tools to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual processes.
  • Develop and maintain digital document management systems to improve organization and ease of access to key information.
  • Standardize data collection, reporting, and performance metrics to facilitate informed decision-making and continual improvements.

Administrative Leadership:

  • Supervise and streamline all administrative activities to maintain high standards of organization and resource management.
  • Manage office facilities, equipment, and supplies, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
  • Oversee vendor relations, negotiate contracts, and ensure value for money in procurement and services.
  • Organize travel logistics, accommodation, and event coordination for staff and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the planning and execution of team-building activities, office events, and initiatives that promote collaboration and morale.

Project Management & Coordination:

  • Coordinate and oversee company projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Implement and maintain strong project management practices using digital tools to track progress and facilitate communication.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution, particularly with donor engagements and event planning.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects remain on track and meet established KPIs.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-functional operations team to achieve performance targets and drive operational excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Facilitate effective communication across departments to ensure alignment of operational goals with overall company objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in operations, administration, and project management roles, with demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with a track record of delivering successful projects.
  • Experience in implementing digital tools and solutions to streamline processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across teams.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Zoho Projects) and office productivity tools.

Salary
N300,000 – N500,000 / month.
