About Lagos Food Bank
Lagos Food Bank is a nonprofit, nutrition-focused initiative committed to fighting hunger, reducing food waste and solving the problem of malnutrition through targeted programs that seek to improve the nutrition/food intake of pregnant women and their infants who are not able to get the required nutrient during pregnancy and breastfeeding of their babies.
Job Description
- We’re looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to help share our story, engage the community, and strengthen our brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies to increase awareness of our programs and impact.
- Manage website content, and newsletters.
- Create compelling stories, press releases, and campaign materials that highlight our mission and community impact.
- Coordinate media outreach and build relationships with local press and community organizations.
- Support fundraising campaigns with creative digital and print materials.
- Maintain consistent brand voice across all communication channels.
- Assist in planning and promoting outreaches.
- Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in communications, marketing, (in the nonprofit space is an advantage).
- Strong writing, storytelling, and content creation skills.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express).
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for community work and the mission of ending hunger.
Additional Requirements:
- Must reside within close proximity to facilitate on-site collaboration, community events, and media engagements.
