About Jaza Energy
Jaza is a fast-growing solar energy start-up on a mission to power Sub-Saharan Africa. We build solar-powered shops where customers charge batteries to power their homes. In 2022, we enabled over 1.5 million battery swaps, providing affordable and clean energy access to 186,000 people.
We employ women from local communities, known as Jaza Stars, to manage our services—empowering them as entrepreneurs and leaders. Having entered the Nigerian market with pilot sites, we are set to scale to hundreds of new locations over the next year and hire over 200 people in the next 6 months.
