The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the position below at the Institute’s station in Abuja.
Position: Crèche Attendant
Duration: 6 months’ renewable
Location: Abuja
Closing Date: 10 February 2025
Duties:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, including feeding, diaper changing, and nap supervision.
- Plan and conduct age-appropriate activities to promote learning, creativity and social development.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, including sanitizing toys, equipment and play areas.
- Communicating with parents or guardians about the child’s progress, behaviour and any other concerns.
- Handle minor injuries or emergencies following safety protocols.
- Ensure the first aid box is always appropriately stocked.
- Perform any other duty as may be directed by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION:
- O’ level with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.
COMPETENCIES:
The ideal candidate must:
- Have experience handling children, especially toddlers.
- Exhibit high level of patience, administrative & Organizational skills.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to display great level of care & diligence at work.
- Have the ability to communicate well in English Language
- Be able to effectively ensure the cleanliness of the classroom.
