About the Role
We are looking for Customer Service Experts to write, review, and validate prompt-based questions designed to train AI.
Your expertise in client communication, issue resolution, support workflows, and customer relationship management will ensure each prompt and response is clear, empathetic, and reflective of real-world service interactions. We welcome professionals from call centers, help desks, retail, hospitality, and customer success teams to help create AI training materials rooted in practical support scenarios. You’ll play a key role in shaping how AI understands human interaction, service standards, and customer care best practices.
You’re a good fit if you:
- Have 3+ years of experience as a Customer Service Representative.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have strong attention to detail.
Role Highlights
- Flexible workload: 10–20 hours per week, with potential to increase to 40 hours.
- Fully remote and asynchronous—work on your own schedule.
- Minimum duration: 1–2 months, with potential for extension.

Role Start Date
- This role will begin in early to mid-July with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Interview Process
- You will take an AI interview where you will be asked questions about your background in customer service.
- You will share your screen and write a detailed prompt to generate an AI response about a customer service scenario.
- You will evaluate and compare LLM outputs to determine which response is more effective and accurate.
- Applicants will be selected based on their performance in the AI interview and on the accuracy and quality of their evaluations.
Compensation and Legal Details
- You will be legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor
- We will pay you out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect
