The Dangote Management Trainee Programme is a prestigious 18-month programme designed to accelerate the development of high-potential mid-career professionals into future senior leaders of Dangote Cement. Successful Trainees will gain cross-functional exposure, intensive classroom learning, mentorship from senior executives, and real-world project experience across plants, depots, and corporate offices.
The programme combines the rigor of an MBA with the practical immersion of a business rotation scheme, creating a pipeline of resilient, enterprise-minded leaders.

Key Expectations on the Programme

Complete an intensive 1-month classroom immersion covering business strategy, economic analysis, cement industry fundamentals, risk management, and leadership.
Undertake structured rotations across Operations & Technical, Commercial & Distribution, and Corporate Support functions.
Participate in site visits and extended assignments at major plants and depots to gain firsthand exposure to the industrial environment.
Work on high-impact projects that address strategic priorities, culminating in a capstone presentation to senior leadership.
Take part in leadership labs focused on personal mastery. team leadership, and enterprise leadership.
Participate in three leadership labs focused on personal mastery, team leadership, and enterprise leadership.
Engage actively in mentoring relationships with cross-border C-level executives
Maintain a reflective development journal and engage in peer learning circles
Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and influence skills in challenging environments, including manufacturing plant conditions and high-stakes business scenarios.

Requirements

Between 28 and 35 years old
Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
5 to 10 years of relevant work experience
Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND – for technical roles)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort with data-driven decision-making.
Demonstrated leadership potential with ability to influence stakeholders across levels.
Resilience and adaptability to thrive in demanding industrial environments.
