Job Description

  • Design and maintain databases and data systems to organize and store raw data collected from farm sensors, processing equipment, financial software, and operational logs.
  • Analyze yield per hectare, soil health metrics, and input costs to optimize planting and harvesting strategies.
  • Track performance metrics for heavy equipment (HEME) to reduce downtime, predict maintenance needs, and optimize fuel consumption.
  • Analyze throughput, quality control (QC) failure rates, and energy usage to identify bottlenecks in the cassava processing line.
  • Create clear, interactive, and visually compelling reports, dashboards (e.g., using Power BI or Tableau), and presentations for executive leadership and department managers.
  • Develop statistical models to forecast future yields, operational costs, and inventory needs.
  • Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Head of Engineering, Processing Manager) to define and track relevant KPIs, providing timely variance analysis.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of all collected data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, or similar role.
  • Experience in agriculture or manufacturing is a significant plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for database querying and manipulation.
  • Expertise in a data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or Google Looker Studio).
  • Strong working knowledge of statistical analysis software or programming languages (e.g., Python or R).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into simple business terms.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
