About the role:
As a Data Engineer at Pricepally, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing our data
infrastructure to unlock valuable insights and drive informed decision-making. You’ll collaborate
closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our data systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with
the company’s strategic goals. Key
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and orchestrate end-to-end data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and flow of data across diverse sources and destinations.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand pipeline requirements and implement efficient solutions for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to support business
intelligence and analytic needs. - Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Optimize and tune database systems for optimal performance and reliability.
- Work closely with software engineers to integrate data solutions into Pricepally’s applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and provide technical expertise to
support decision-making. - Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions for data management and analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus
- 3 years or more of proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable data solutions.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other relevant programming languages.
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Luigi) for managing complex data pipelines.
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their associated pipeline services.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
