We are seeking a talented Email Marketing Copywriter, with a focus on B2C/DTC, to create compelling, high-impact email content that drives engagement and retention for our consumer subscription-based learning platform. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer with a strong understanding of direct-response marketing, capable of crafting emails that align with brand voice and resonate with diverse stakeholders. This role requires expertise in scaling content creation through AI tools to produce high volumes of personalized, performance-driven emails.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and write engaging email content for weekly campaigns, including promotional, educational, and retention-focused emails tailored to a consumer subscription audience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Chief Academic Officer, to align content with varying goals while adhering to brand voice and style guidelines.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, custom GPTs) to streamline and scale email content creation, producing 100+ emails efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Optimize email copy for high open and conversion rates, focusing on direct-response strategies rather than soft-touch sales cadences.
- Work closely with the marketing team to stage, deliver, and integrate content into existing email marketing platforms (e.g., Optimove templates).
- Create systems to support high-volume email production, ensuring scalability as content needs grow.
- Adapt messaging for consumer audiences, emphasizing retention and deeper engagement in a subscription-based model.
- Contribute to additional CRM and content initiatives as needed, applying copywriting expertise to other marketing efforts.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a copywriter, preferably in email marketing for consumer subscription businesses (e.g., gyms, education platforms, or similar high-consideration purchases).
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a focus on direct-response copy that drives action and engagement.
- Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT for content creation.
- Strong understanding of brand voice and the ability to tailor content to diverse stakeholder goals.
- Experience working with email marketing platforms and templates (e.g., Optimove or similar).
- Ability to manage high-volume content creation while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Tech-forward mindset with a proactive approach to scaling content production.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
