Result of Service
The Graphic Design Assistant will support the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office in Nigeria by producing high-quality visual communication materials. This includes:

Graphic designs for UN80 celebrations.

Booths/tents branding for UN inter-agency exhibitions.
-
Promotional materials for the 16 Days of Activism (25 November – 10 December).

Supervision of the artwork and production of the UN Nigeria 2026 tabletop calendars.
Duties and Responsibilities
Working closely with the Head of the Resident Coordinator’s Office and under daily supervision of UNIC, the Graphic Design Assistant will:

Design themes, infographics, layouts, and document covers.

Develop figures, fonts, colors, and layouts for newsletters, brochures, banners, posters, flyers, and booklets.

Create graphic templates for reports and presentations.
-
Prepare print-ready packages for publications and other communication products.
-
Deliver creative concepts for print, web, and interactive media, providing innovative technical solutions.

Create animations, presentations, and other visual solutions.
-
Maintain templates (InDesign, CorelDraw, Publisher, Word, PowerPoint).

Provide photography and videography support to the RCO.

Establish and maintain a photo and video library.

Perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Special Skills

Education:
-
High school diploma required.
-
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or a certified CAD (computer-aided design) program relevant to maps/illustrations will require 2 fewer years of experience.

Experience:
-
At least 2 years’ experience in a CAD environment, especially with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, and solid knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Proven design experience must be demonstrated for candidates without an academic degree.

Languages:
-
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
-
Knowledge of another UN official language (e.g., French, Arabic, Spanish) is an asset.
