Summary
- The Head of Human Resources will play a key strategic leadership role within the organisation and will be responsible for building a future-ready workforce, nurturing a performance-driven culture, and aligning HR practices with bold, transformative goals.
- This role goes beyond traditional HR functions, it is about driving organisational excellence, fostering leadership development, and creating systems that unlock the full potential of the team.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement human capital strategies aligned with the organisation’s mission and growth trajectory.
- Lead change management initiatives, workforce planning, and talent pipeline development for critical national-scale projects.
- Develop robust recruitment frameworks to attract top-tier talent and implement retention strategies to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Build and maintain an effective performance evaluation system that supports employee development and organisational goals.
- Drive continuous learning, skills development, and leadership training across all levels of the organisation.
- Develop and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with effective practices.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, wellness, and positive workplace culture.
- Work closely with executive leadership to shape the strategic direction of the organisation from a people perspective.
Educational Requirements / Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study.
- A Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading HR in a fast-paced, complex, and high-growth organisation.
- Experience in public sector reform, international development, or infrastructure-related programmes is an added advantage.
- Deep understanding of strategic HRM, talent management, and organisational design.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategy with broader organisational objectives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data-driven mindset with proficiency in HR analytics and technology platforms.
- High emotional intelligence, integrity, and a passion for nation-building and public service.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a mission-driven and results-oriented environment.
