Job Title: Head of Security
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos

Description
- Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Head of Security to lead their organization’s security operations, policies, and infrastructure.
- This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of physical and digital security, ensuring the safety of personnel, assets, and data.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both corporate and cybersecurity leadership, with proven experience in risk assessment, crisis management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive security strategies and policies.
- Lead physical security operations across all facilities, including surveillance, access control, and incident response.
- Manage cybersecurity initiatives in collaboration with the IT department to safeguard digital assets and information systems.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy laws and industry standards.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and law enforcement agencies.
- Lead and mentor the security team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Prepare and present security reports to executive leadership and the board.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Ex-serviceman with relevant security experience.
- Proven experience in a security management role, ideally in a corporate or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership and training skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of security technology and systems.
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions in high-pressure situations.
