Description

  • Consistently achieve sales targets across the product portfolio and meeting and exceeding the sales P&L
  • Generate leads, convert leads to customers and existing customers into repeat customers
  • Drive the initiatives to grow SME portfolio as well as customer acquisition and profitability
  • Support the business to formulate and implement a SME proposition and product development strategy, establishing a core suite of propositions and products for identified segments
  • Evaluate features, profitability, and positioning of products and ensure each maximizes customer take-up and commercial reward for the bank
  • Training Sales and Marketing Officers on Products and Offerings to improve product knowledge and drive SME loan origination
  • Ensure that mobile salesforce is fully focused on clear targets; allocate and report on the appropriate level of effort and resources, defining optimal KPIs for the salesforce efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and manage mobile sales operating budgets
  • Undertake market research and analysis and come up with a business plan and or recommendations (including all associated costs and forecasted revenue for the business) to ensure that all business development opportunities (new products, services and markets) are optimized
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization
  • Ensure that all sales activities meet and exceed budget, cost, volume and efficiency targets (Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)) in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure all members of the team are continuously highly motivated and leading from the front.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. in any relevant field. (Advanced degree in business, management, or a related field is preferred)
  • Postgraduate degree is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a Managerial position in sales and business development.
  • Analytical mindset with in-depth understanding of lending processes and procedures
  • Strong blend of analytical, decision-making and creative problem-solving skills
  • Previous P&L responsibility for a significant organization or business unit
  • Highly entrepreneurial. Very hands-on in defining objectives and executing deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Previous experience working in a financial institution, or a SME Focused business is required.
