Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to oversee all human resources operations and ensure alignment with our business goals at our steel manufacturing facility in Odongunyan, Ikorodu.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping company culture, driving HR strategy, and managing core HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end HR operations at the plant, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and staff welfare.
- Implement and monitor HR strategies aligned with the overall business direction.
- Maintain and enforce HR policies, procedures, and statutory compliance in line with Nigerian labor laws.
- Support departmental heads in manpower planning and ensure timely staffing.
- Manage disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure accurate HR documentation including contracts, personnel files, and records.
- Monitor attendance, leave, and payroll inputs in collaboration with the accounts/payroll team.
- Coordinate training and development activities for staff at various levels.
- Conduct periodic performance appraisals and ensure objective implementation of KPIs.
- Foster a healthy and productive workplace culture focused on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements And Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPM, SHRM) are an added advantage.
- 8 –15years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry).
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS or payroll systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced industrial environment.
- Must reside within or be willing to relocate to Odongunyan/Ikorodu axis.
