The Opportunity
- We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of human resources management.
- You will be instrumental in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with our business objectives, focusing on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent.
- This is a hands-on, generalist role where you will act as a key partner to our senior leadership and an advocate for our employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and talent acquisition: Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, from creating engaging job descriptions and posting adverts to screening candidates, managing interviews, and facilitating the onboarding of new hires.
- Employee relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee queries, advise managers on complex employee relations issues, and manage disciplinary, grievance, and performance management processes.
- HR strategy and policy: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current employment laws and best practices.
- Training and development: Identify training needs and organize programs to support employee development, enhance skills, and build strong leadership capabilities across the organization.
- Performance management: Oversee performance review cycles, ensuring consistent and fair processes that support continuous employee growth and business goals.
- Compensation and benefits: Conduct salary reviews and manage benefits administration, including liaison with third-party providers.
- Culture and engagement: Champion company values and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, morale, and wellbeing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Qualifications: SHRM, CIPD, CIPMN, PHRI or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a generalist HR management role, ideally within a medium-sized organization.
- Employment law: Excellent, up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Problem-solving: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Leadership: Experience leading a small team or mentoring others within the HR function.
- IT skills: Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 monthly.
