Job Summary
- The HR Officer will be responsible for supporting the company’s human resources operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR administration.
- The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about real estate and building a strong and positive workplace culture in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage the recruitment and selection process, from job posting to onboarding.
- Maintain accurate employee records and handle HR documentation.
- Support performance management processes and coordinate staff appraisals.
- Administer payroll, leave, and benefits in collaboration with the finance team.
- Promote a healthy, engaging, and productive workplace culture.
- Handle employee queries, grievances, and disciplinary matters professionally.
- Identify training and development needs and organize capacity-building sessions.
- Support management with HR reports, data analysis, and compliance activities.
- Assist in driving employee engagement, retention, and talent development initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2 – 4 years of relevant HR experience (experience in real estate or startup environment is an added advantage).
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software tools.
- Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and work with minimal supervision.
