The Nigerian-British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) is the foremost bilateral chamber in Nigeria, established in 1977 with the primary goal of promoting trade and investment between Nigeria and Britain. With over 400 members spanning multiple sectors of the economy, NBCC continues to strengthen business ties locally and internationally, with its head office in Lagos, a UK Network in London, and a growing number of local branches nationwide.
Role Overview
The HR & Admin Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for all human capital and administrative functions of the Chamber. This role is critical in ensuring that people, policies, and processes are aligned to NBCC’s strategic mandate, while fostering a high-performance, compliant, and values-driven workplace.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures in line with best practice and Nigerian labour laws.

Lead end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes for staff and interns.

Design and oversee performance management systems, including goal-setting, appraisals, and performance improvement plans.

Coordinate staff training and professional development programmes.

Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures.

Ensure efficient and compliant administrative operations, reducing downtime and driving cost savings.

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR metrics, and reporting dashboards.
Key Deliverables

Fully implemented HR policy framework and annual HR plan.

Timely completion of performance appraisals and training schedules.

Efficient office operations with cost reduction and compliance.

Improved employee engagement and retention.

Updated and secure staff records and documentation.
Requirements
-
5 – 7 years’ progressive experience in HR and administrative management, preferably in a membership-based organization, corporate, or development sector.

Strong knowledge of labour laws, HR best practices, and compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.

Proven experience in policy implementation, performance management, and staff development.
