About The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN):

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) believes the Bible is for all Nigerians. Traditionally, the work of the BSN is to make the Bible available and affordable. The Society has come to see that provision of the printed text, however well-presented, is only a part of the task. To achieve the most effective and meaningful distribution, the BSN also recognizes the need to develop programmes, using all forms of media to stimulate and facilitate encounter with the biblical text in Churches and public places. We actualize our mission through five major functions, namely: Translation, Publishing, Distribution, Programmes and Fundraising.

 


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, among others, do the following:

  • Strategic HR management through sound acquisition, proper utilisation, result-oriented training/development, performance management, attractive/retentive motivational strategies and painless separation of staff, etc.
  • Productive and timely administration of the organisation’s assets, preventing unnecessary downtime
  • Administer strictly but with a human face the policies of the organisation and so on.

Personnel Specification

  • A Higher National Diploma or First Degree in Humanities is a must. A Master’s Degree in business administration, personnel management, industrial and labour relations, or other related fields would be an advantage.
  • 5 years of work experience with at least 3 years of it in the human resource management field.
  • Professionally certified by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, or CIPD, England, with good knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment laws and major criteria to occupy this position.
  • The ability to be involved in strategic planning and implementation will be a great advantage.
  • Proven Christian experience and integrity; High level of presentation skills; Willingness to learn and ability to work as a team player; Good working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.
  • Flexible, not easily provoked, sociable and always hungry for and delivering timely results.
